Best Things to do in Ventura, CA

Now I may be a little bit biased, but I think that Ventura has some of the best ice cream places ever. Yes, we have the basic Baskin Robbins and Cold Stone Creamery, but that's not what we'll be talking about, because they're all over. We will be going over some really great local spots in Ventura. McConnell's Fine Ice Cream is probably some of the best ice cream that you'll ever taste. There are multiple McConnell's Ice Cream located in Southern California, but the location in Ventura is the only family-owned one and is not part of the chain. The original owners sold all of their locations many years ago but decided to keep one family-owned, which is the one we now have in Ventura. All of McConnell's ice cream is organically made with no artificial flavors, colors, or additives. They also have super unique flavors that will blow your mind!  I don't know about you, but Ventura LOVES to celebrate the holidays, so we have a lot more things to do around Christmas time!  For the arts and crafts type of person, there is a really fun Christmas wreath making workshop every year. This happens downtown on Main Street at the Doora Collective showroom. Admission for this is $95. It includes amazing wreath making, holiday cocktails, and appetizers.  It is instructed by Dulce Floral Design, and is a hands-on workshop. They teach basic techniques of designing with live plants. They also teach you how to embellish with textural things, such as berries, pine cones, and twigs. Not only is it a great craft for the holidays, but you also can learn a lot about art and creating centerpieces and such! There is also the annual Snow n Glow event.
